Dani Dahlke
ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I have always been drawn to the structural composition of objects, both natural and man-made, especially those forms possessing layered and transparent qualities. I am interested in how objects affect the environment that surrounds them and seek with my own work to utilize shapes and forms to interact with whatever environment I place them in. Whether creating organic or industrially inspired forms, or employing found objects in new ways, my goal with any work is to embody the materials used with qualities that surpass the mere definition of the form.
